The Daina camera is a toy plastic camera originally marketed as an inexpensive novelty gift item. It has been used to specifically take soft-focus, impressionistic photographs and as an aid to learning the basics of photography. I experimented with this camera in the 80s and 90s. I enjoyed the fact that the resulting image evoked a sense of mystery.
